What to See in St Lucia

St Lucia is a volcanic island which is also counted among the most mountainous islands in the Caribbean. The land abounds in numerous scenic natural highlights that beckon travelers to visit the destination from all over the globe.

Better known as a romantic getaway, St. Lucia abounds in fascinating tourist attractions. Situated midway down the Eastern Caribbean network, it stretches along 27 miles and 14 miles wide. Sulfur Springs

Serving as one of the major attractions on this amazing island, the Sulfur Springs are just to the south of Soufriere. It is a fenced-off area of hot rocks, boiling pools and steam. The Rainforest

Castries

It serves as the capital of the island. The place delights history lovers with its historical site of the La Toc Battery, the Central library and a Cathedral. You can also visit the Morne Fortune, which is the Hill of Good Luck. It is the place where the French started establishing a fortress which was accomplished by the British in the 17th century. It also houses a large weekly market where you can buy a variety of products. This includes baskets, bowls, mahogany statues and souvenirs.

Pigeon Island National Historic Park

It was first national park of St. Lucia to join to the mainland by a causeway. There are two white-sand beaches on its west coast. The Pigeon Island has an interpretation Centre, which is well-installed with artifacts and a multimedia display. Through the display, travelers can come across the local history.
