Established by a Swedish architecture firm, it was opened in
1979. The largest of the three Kuwait Towers measures to a height of 187m. It

gallons of water. The tower in the middle is used for storing water but the
smallest tower is utilized to light up the other two.
Kuwait Towers were actually the water tanks. These are three
slender towers in the city that stand on promontory into the Persian Gulf.

sphere contains in its bottom half a water tank of 4,500 cubic m. The upper

minutes. The third tower encompasses equipment to control the flow of
electricity. It also holds responsibility of illuminating the two larger
towers. The towers contain 9,000 cubic meters of water altogether. It will not

According to the architect who built them, the Kuwait Towers
refer to ideals of technology and humanity. Marked by the globe and the rocket,
Kuwait Towers were awarded with the Aga Khan Award for Architecture. During the
First Gulf War between 1990-1991, they were opened to public once again after
undergoing the amendments. In the year 2012, the towers were again closed for
some extra amendments.

the ‘Horizon Restaurant’ that serves lunch and dinner buffets with a new menu
every day. The hospitality levels at the restaurant touch the standards of
sky-high hospitality. The main tower houses the ‛Le Café, a coffee shop where
you can savor light snacks, pastries and refreshing beverages.
‛Dasman’, the ballroom is once and all favorite for special
parties, important events and business occasions. It also serves as an outside
catering that can meet with the needs of elite weddings and executive
functions. The viewing sphere is located at 123 m above sea level and rotates
to give its onlookers an amazing view of Kuwait. They can enjoy with or without
a telescope. It moves 360 degrees every half an hour.
